Mount
Kinabalu / Gunung Kinabalu ( 4095m ) is a prominent mountain in SE Asia. It is located in Kinabalu National Park ( a World Heritage Site ) in Sabah, East Malaysia on the island of Borneo in the tropics. Its
summit, Low’s Peak, is 4,095 metres ( 13,435ft ) above sea level. The mountain is the fourth highest in SE Asia ( behind Hkakabo Razi ( 5881m ) in Myanmar, Puncak
Jaya ( 4884m ) and Puncak Trikora ( 4750m ) of Papua, Indonesia ). The
mountain features extensive flora and is one of the world’s most important biological sites. Low's Peak
can be easily
climbed without the use of climbing equipment. |
