Lom in the Oppland Region of Norway the gateway to the Jotunheimen Mountains and Jotunheim National Park.

Stave Church in Lom Lom is famous for having one of the few remaining stave churches in Norway. A stave church is a medieval wooden church with a post and beam construction related to timber framing.  The wall frames are filled with vertical planks.   The load-bearing posts ( "stav" in Norwegian ) give their name to this building technique.
